The Civil / Structural Engineer provides on-site engineering support for civil and structural assets at the Toledo mill. This role works directly with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure mill structures and infrastructure are safe, reliable, and fit for service. The position is focused on field-based problem solving, risk reduction, and execution support for both maintenance and capital work.

What You Will Do

* Provide day-to-day civil and structural engineering support for mill assets, including buildings, foundations, structural steel, tanks, pipe racks, roads, and drainage

* Perform field inspections, condition assessments, and structural evaluations to identify risk and recommend corrective actions

* Support maintenance with troubleshooting, repair strategies, prioritization, and work scope development

* Support capital projects by reviewing designs, drawings, and calculations for site suitability and constructability

* Coordinate with contractors and engineering firms during design, construction, and repair activities

* Participate in incident investigations, failure analysis, and root cause reviews related to civil or structural issues

* Ensure work complies with applicable codes, standards, and mill safety requirements

* Provide on-site engineering support during outages and major repairs

* Maintain documentation related to inspections, repairs, and asset condition

* Serve as a technical resource to operations and maintenance leaders for civil and structural matters

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

* Experience supporting industrial or heavy manufacturing facilities

* Working knowledge of structural steel, concrete, foundations, and industrial structures

* Field-based engineering experience, including inspections and construction support

* Ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, and contractors

* Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, execution-focused approach

* Willingness to work in an active mill environment

* Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience in pulp and paper or similar continuous-process manufacturing

* Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain

* Experience supporting capital projects and mill outages

* Familiarity with asset integrity, reliability, or inspection programs

* Owner-site engineering experience rather than consultant-only roles

* Knowledge of applicable building codes and industrial standards
