Job Description

KOMU 8 seeks an innovative sales leader to drive revenue growth across KOMU 8's multiplatform portfolio.

The General Sales Manager (GSM) leads revenue strategy and sales operations, with responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, client retention, and business development. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader who develops talent, embraces data and technology, builds strong client partnerships, and delivers measurable business results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development
* Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing sales team.
* Establish accountability, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
* Identify and develop future sales leaders
* Conduct forecasting and pipeline reviews while fostering cross-department collaboration.

Revenue Growth & Strategy
* Develop and execute revenue strategies that achieve growth across all platforms.
* Meet or exceed revenue budgets.
* Drive new business, strengthen existing accounts, and diversify revenue streams.
* Lead sponsorships, promotions, events, pricing, inventory, and yield strategies.
* Manage inventory to maximize revenue while maintaining strong inventory utilization on all platforms.

Multi-Platform Sales & Innovation
* Deliver integrated marketing solutions across broadcast, streaming, CTV/OTT, digital, social, sponsorship, and emerging platforms.
* Promote consultative selling, leveraging audience insights, analytics, and technology to improve client results.
* Implement modern tools and processes, including AI-enabled solutions, that enhance productivity and performance.

Client & Business Leadership
* Build relationships with major advertisers, agencies, and community leaders.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and sales performance.
* Represent KOMU 8 as a trusted marketing partner throughout the market.

Shift

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Nights and Weekends as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Proven success leading revenue growth and high-performing sales teams.
* Experience developing cross-platform marketing solutions across broadcast, digital, streaming, CTV/OTT, social, and sponsorship channels.
* Experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related industry.
* Strong business development, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong analytical, financial, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Seven or more years of media, advertising, or marketing experience and three or more years of sales leadership experience.
* Experience with forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategy, CRM systems, digital analytics, and AI-enabled business tools.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $75,000-$105,000 annually, plus commission
