Overview

As the IT Project Manager supporting Platform Services within Deutsche Bank's Private Bank Technology organization, you will lead the technical delivery, modernization, and ongoing support of critical wealth management and banking platforms. You will partner with front-office stakeholders, technology teams, and strategic vendors to deliver scalable solutions across platforms including FIS, TCS BaNCS, Pershing, and related applications. Leveraging your hands-on understanding of application development, data flows, system integrations, and the software development lifecycle, you will translate business needs into technology solutions while driving successful delivery outcomes. What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of platform services initiatives, applying prior hands-on application development experience across design, development, testing, implementation, production readiness, and stabilization activities
  • Partner with business, operations, front-office stakeholders, technology teams, and strategic vendors to define requirements and deliver technology solutions supporting wealth management and banking platforms
  • Evaluate platform integrations, APIs, data flows, batch processes, and technical dependencies to support solution design, risk identification, and delivery execution
  • Translate business and operational requirements into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, implementation plans, and target-state workflows
  • Oversee governance, RAID management, financial tracking, executive reporting, vendor performance, and regulatory or audit-related deliverables
  • Drive platform enhancements, operational resilience, production stability, workflow automation, and process improvements across vendor-supported applications

How You'll Lead

  • Lead cross-functional relationships across business, front-office, technology, architecture, infrastructure, information security, risk, compliance, and operations teams to align priorities and remove delivery barriers
  • Influence technical and business stakeholders by translating complex technology concepts, risks, and dependencies into clear and actionable recommendations
  • Direct third-party technology vendors and service providers, managing delivery commitments, escalations, dependencies, service performance, and ongoing platform support activities

Skills You'll Need

  • Extensive experience delivering technology initiatives across the software development lifecycle within financial services or other regulated environments
  • Proven prior hands-on experience as an application developer, with experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data analysis, APIs, integrations, data flows, middleware, and system dependencies supporting enterprise applications
  • Experience translating business and operational requirements into functional requirements, user stories, implementation plans, and technology solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience developing or supporting applications within wealth management, private banking, brokerage, custody, or core banking environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor technical concepts for front-office and business stakeholders
  • Experience managing strategic technology vendors and outsourced application services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess technical issues, evaluate risks, and identify practical solutions
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile, or related project delivery certification

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $225,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
