Job Summary APPLY BY EMAIL ONLY - INSTRUCTIONS BELOWThe International Patient Services Division of MGB International seeks a full-time physician to join their practice. Mass General Brigham (MGB) is one of the United States' leading healthcare systems; it includes Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women's Hospitals, both major teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School. At MGB, our Harvard faculty deliver exceptional care with both passion and purpose. The International Patient Center (IPC) serves thousands of patients each year from more than 120 countries and provides a complete service for patients visiting the hospital from countries outside of the United States. The IPC works to serve referring physicians, payors and internal clinical specialists as well as to support patients during the complete span of their care journey. The center staff includes physicians, administrators, multi-lingual patient liaisons and intake specialists all helping to coordinate the multiple components of each international patient's visit to Boston for medical care. Reports to: Medical Director, MGB International Hours/FTE: Full-time position, 1.0 FTE, 8 sessions weekly Location: Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Principal duties and responsibilities: *Provides primary and focused care management to BWH and MGH international patients during their stay in Boston for specialty management of often complex conditions. *Cares for a culturally diverse group of patients from around the world. *Rounds on all international inpatients weekly at both BWH and MGH with a focus on care coordination with clinical teams and optimizing patient experience. *Coordinates care between multiple specialties across MGB. *Communicates regularly with patients' referring physicians from their home country, embassy medical coordinators, and other third parties on the status of the patient's treatment. *Serves as a clinical resource for all IPC staff in the triaging of new cases, clinical questions, and ordering/documentation requests. *Participates in QA/QI reviews of international patient cases. *Conducts comprehensive "executive physical exams" for international patients according to pre-established guidelines. *Travels to offsite meetings (domestic and international) with key stakeholders.
