Job Overview:

As a Nursery Mother/Baby Clinical Director, a typical day may include:

  • Ensures that quality, age-appropriate care is delivered to all patients in their designated clinical units in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the organization
  • Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education
  • Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies
  • Participates in staff quality assurance
  • Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care
  • Participates in the designated department's strategic planning process
  • Analyzes systems and operations to facilitate recommendations for change and improvement
  • Facilitate operational excellence in patient services and across the designated departments
  • Maintains a level of knowledge of current healthcare trends through continuous education and participation at meetings both internally and externally
  • Ensure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of nursing leadership experience
  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse required for APN leadership role

To be considered for this Clinical Director opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey required for APN leadership role. A bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Masters prepared in Nursing from an accredited program preferred. This position is Full-Time on the day shift at 37.5 hours weekly, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
