Summary


The purpose of the Maintenance Planner at the Kearny roofing plant is to coordinate and plan maintenance activities that support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work, coordinating contractors, supporting project execution, and improving equipment reliability through effective maintenance planning processes.



REQUIREDExperience:




  • Two (2)+year'sexperiencein relatedmaintenancetrade or occupation in a manufacturing environment.






  • High school diploma or GED






  • Maintenance related computer systems (such as SAP) experience preferred





Principal Duties and Responsibilities




  • Planand coordinate maintenance activities to support safe and reliable production operations.






  • Manage maintenance work orders, resources, and contractor activities to ensure efficient execution of maintenance and project work.






  • Support Energy Control Procedures (ECPs), Lock Tag Try (LTT) compliance, and contractor safety requirements.






  • Analyze equipment failures, support root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.






  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&ID drawings, and other technical documents.






  • Interpret and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.






  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative, and consistently produce high-quality work.






  • Maintain compliance with all plant safety, environmental, and housekeeping requirements while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.






  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel, operations teams, engineering, and outside contractors to support plant objectives.






  • Maintain regular attendance,participatein required training, and perform other duties as assigned.





Training and Development


We are committed to developing and upskilling our maintenance team. While candidates are expected to bring maintenance experience from a manufacturing environment, there are many aspects of the role that can be learned through on-the-job training.



Training for this position will include, but is not limited to:




  • Plant-specific maintenance planning and scheduling processes






  • Maintenance-related computer systems






  • Contractor management and project coordination






  • Reliability and root cause analysis techniques






  • Plant-specific equipment and processes






  • Additionalmaintenance disciplines as needed




Successful candidates must demonstrate a willingness to learn, participate in training, and continuously expand their technical skills and knowledge.



Essential Physical Requirements/Work Environment


The employee shouldpossessthe ability to:




  • Able to do repetitive hand, arm, leg movements for several hours






  • Able to climb on andoff offork truck






  • Able to climb and descend stairs






  • Willingness to work inmanufacturing environment (loudnoises, heat)

  • Repetitive movements






  • Willingness to occasionally work at heights or confined spaces
