Job Description

Summary

As a Shipping Administrator II, you will support the smooth and accurate execution of shipping activities. You will coordinate and monitor product shipments, maintain shipping records, prepare required documentation, and work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to support timely delivery. Your attention to detail, organization, and ability to resolve shipping issues will help ensure efficient operations and a positive customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor product shipments to support accurate and timely delivery.
  • Manage and maintain complete and accurate records of all shipping activities.
  • Partner with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipping operations.
  • Prepare required shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs clearance paperwork.
  • Identify and resolve shipment-related issues, including delays, damages, or documentation concerns.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

  • Experience in order management, shipping, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of shipping processes and logistics.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while effectively managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and other relevant tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining shipping accuracy and supporting on-time delivery.
  • Collaborative team player who seeks input, works effectively across functions, and builds trust through transparency and integrity.
  • Ability to provide timely and accurate information so others can perform their responsibilities and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to organize resources, activities, records, and files to support efficient operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a warehouse and shipping environment, including working near shipping equipment, pallets, and moving material-handling devices.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions while preparing shipments and completing paperwork.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull shipping materials, including boxes weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to supplier sites and Novanta facilities may be required based on business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The base pay for this positionis starting at $18.35 per year depending on the geographic market.
