Who We Are:

At Children's National Hospital, our Infant Hearing Screening team is dedicated to giving every newborn the best possible start. As part of our Audiology program, we provide hearing screenings for infants and support families through an important first step in identifying potential hearing concerns. Working closely with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and audiologists, our team delivers compassionate care, exceptional customer service, and accurate screening services in a fast-paced pediatric healthcare environment.

About the Role:

Performs hearing screening tests on newborns and infants using special computerized technological equipment, according to established protocols.

What You'll Bring:

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED Or equivalent. (Required)

Minimum Work Experience

  • 1 year - related experience preferably in pediatric clinical support or childcare (Required)
  • Current student or candidate with an interest in Audiology (Preferred)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Basic math calculations-addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; data entry/computer skills preferred; knowledge of general office equipment. Physical requirements include light lifting (20 pounds maximum) and usually involving walking or standing to a significant degree; bending the body downward at the waist and the ability to coordinate eyes and hands and the ability to manipulate small objects quickly and accurately.

Screenings

  • Conduct hearing screenings on newborns using appropriate procedures and computer technology.

Timeline

  • Coordinate own schedule in cooperation with program manager and other technicians.

Technology Upkeep

  • Maintain computer software for tracking of infants

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications. This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
