Job Overview This is skilled work in the repair, maintenance and renovation of plumbing fixtures and systems supporting facilities throughout Loudoun County Public Schools. An employee in this class is responsible for repairing, replacing parts or equipment as needed, and performing periodic maintenance checks of plumbing systems and fixtures. Work is performed in accordance with standard practices of the trade and applicable codes and regulations. Receives daily work assignments electronically through a work order management system. Qualifications Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable. Education High School Diploma or GED Completion of a plumbing trade apprenticeship Experience Licenses and Certifications Valid Driver's License; CDL desired Virginia Licensed Journeyman Plumber required; Licensed Master Plumber desired Licensed Virginia Waterworks Operator, Class IV or higher desired; certified to test backflow preventers Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Reports to: Maintenance Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Months/Days/Hours: 12 months/ 254 days/ 8 hours Salary Level: Universal 10 Salary Scale: https://www.lcps.org/compensation Salary Range: $33.29-$62.22 Remote Work Eligible: No Union Designation:Non-certified Essential Personnel Disclosure Employees who perform the responsibilities of this job are considered essential personnel. Essential personnel are designated employees who must report for work during a delay or emergency situations. A workplace emergency is an unforeseen situation that threatens the staff, pupils, or the public; disrupts or shuts down business operations; or causes physical or environmental damage. Emergencies may be natural or manmade. It is incumbent upon the supervisor to inform and confirm which essential personnel are required to work during emergency closings. Notification and confirmation of the expectation of essential personnel to report to work, or maintain as-needed status, will be executed with as much advanced notice as possible via in-person communication or email. | |
