For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $2000 sign on for Food Services Members at Pen Bay Hospital! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part-time Food Services position.

Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Pen Bay Hospital Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Team Member to join our team. As a Food Services Team Member, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our patients' experience by delivering nourishing, healthy, and delicious meals according to diet orders and menu selections. Key responsibilities include setting up, delivering, and retrieving patient meal trays and washing, rinsing, and storing dishes. The Food Services Team Member also has the opportunity to perform limited food preparation tasks and will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. A successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED. While previous experience in food service or healthcare settings is a plus, it is not required. Pen Bay Hospital is seeking a full time Food Service Team Member to join their team!

Summary: This position consists of 40 hours per week, evening shifts.
The Food Services Team Member role may be responsible for a variety of duties supporting the Nutrition & Food Services department, including assisting with patient meal selection, delivering meals, washing dishes, and fulfilling basic food preparation.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Food safety certification preferred (e.g., ServSafe).
  3. Experience: Relevant food service experience preferred.

The pay range for this position is $18.00to $20.70 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
