As a Chemical/Field Technician (Downstream Chemicals) - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for supporting customer operations through field service activities, testing, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to help ensure operational efficiency, deliver quality service, and support the effective application of downstream chemical solutions while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and compliance.

You will develop your knowledge of industrial processes, chemical treatment applications, and operational best practices while contributing to a culture of safety, compliance, and service excellence.

As a Chemical/Field Technician (Downstream Chemicals) - Houston, TX, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing laboratory testing and analysis to support chemical treatment programs, evaluate system performance, and provide accurate reporting of results.

  • Working extensively in field environments to support customer operations, conduct inspections, perform testing activities, and ensure effective service delivery.

  • Safely transferring chemical products and fluids from tanker trucks to bulk storage tanks in accordance with operational and safety procedures.

  • Operating company vehicles to travel between customer sites, maintaining a valid driver's license and a safe driving record while supporting field service activities.

  • Monitoring application operating parameters to support customer operations and system performance.

  • Conducting field and product testing activities and accurately recording and communicating results to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Performing maintenance activities on equipment as directed to support operational reliability.

  • Managing product inventory activities, including inventory reporting, ordering, and delivery coordination.

  • Building knowledge of industrial processes, business operations, and downstream chemical treatment applications.

  • Successfully completing required training and development activities through participation in field-based and technical learning programs.

  • Supporting activities focused on health, safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Collaborating with customers and internal teams to support service delivery and business objectives.

  • Conducting all business activities in accordance with company health, safety, environmental, legal compliance, and ethical standards.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Technical College Degree or equivalent education preferred.

  • Have knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, or petroleum engineering concepts preferred.

  • Have a general understanding of industrial processes and business principles.

  • Have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others.

  • Have the ability to build productive working relationships across cross-functional teams.

  • Have the ability to work in an industrial environment, including varying weather conditions, elevated work locations, and the use of personal protective equipment.

  • Have a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This role may require schedule flexibility to support customer requirements, business priorities, travel, and operational activities.

Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Work Location: 100% Onsite | Houston, TX
