Physician - Nocturnist Hospitalist

MaineHealth Hospital Medicine is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to work as a part-time nocturnist at MaineHealth Maine Medical CenterPortland.Flexible scheduling and competitive salary and benefits offered.

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland (MHMMCP) is an academic medical center with 700 licensed beds and is the state's leading tertiary care and teaching hospital with a full complement of residencies and fellowships. MHMMCP is also an integral part of Tufts University Medical School, helping to support the Tufts Maine Track program with more than 40 medical students per year participating in this program. As such, candidates will have the expectation of an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine and access to faculty development provided through the Tufts programs. There are also significant teaching and learning opportunities with internal medicine, medicine-pediatrics and family medicine residents, fellows and the medical students throughout the services centered at Maine Medical Center.

MaineHealth Hospital Medicine in the Southern Regionnow includes more than 70 hospitalists engaged on the frontlines of clinical care, quality improvement, and medical education. The group includes leaders from across the organization, including physicians with roles in the resident education, undergraduate medical education, medical consultation and preoperative medicine, homeless health, quality and many other key aspects of MaineHealth's mission: "Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America." There are ample opportunities for continuing education and journal club.

The annual base salary range for this position is $339,250.
