JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Senior Events Representative leads complex event planning and is responsible for supporting and assisting the VP Starkey Experience in all aspects of strategy, planning and execution in the event and travel department. Events strategies include, but are not limited to, flagship and customer product trainings, tradeshows, internal sales meetings, customer incentive trips and special customer events. Strong strategy, precise and creative planning, timely execution and clear stewardship plans are essential in this high-profile position. This candidate must be detail orientated, self-motivated and this person must be able to adapt to last-minute changes effectively. Meeting sharp deadlines while working under pressure is necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



  • Strategic & Complex Event Leadership

    • Drive planning and execution of flagship, high-visibility and strategic events and tradeshows
    • Drive strategies and goals for each event or tradeshow in partnership with VP Starkey Experience
    • Identify, develop, and execute event concepts, formats and experiences
    • Research event opportunities and understand historical context within the company
    • Clearly define business objectives and budgets for each event.
    • Plan and execute events within budget guidelines without sacrificing experience
    • Ensure each event delivers effective outcomes aligned with business goals.


  • Team Mentorship

    • Mentor other team members, providing coaching, guidance and skill development
    • Educate the team on findings, best practices, and process improvements


  • Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

    • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with leadership
    • Form partnerships with key stakeholders involved in each event
    • Communicate event strategies, objectives, timelines and progress
    • Provide event communication timelines to leadership
    • Create high-touch communications and attendee experiences
    • Provide final briefing memos to staff, including customer profiles and event details


  • Operational Excellence & Process Adherence

    • Partner with Manager of Events to ensure process adherence, budget alignment and operational consistency
    • Organize event project management lists and oversee all aspects of execution
    • Outline budgets with key staff and communicate expenses clearly, accurately, and on time
    • Keep accurate records for all events
    • Manage processes and improve systems to execute events more efficiently
    • Create and utilize proper event tracking systems; evaluate current systems and recommend improvements
    • Upload essential event documents to Starkey's network drive
    • Create post-event summaries and steward learnings for continuous improvement


  • Customer Engagement

    • Interact and build relationships with customers and staff during events
    • Steward event attendees and create opportunities for future sales and marketing conversations


  • Product Knowledge

    • Maintain working knowledge of Starkey products and awareness of competitor products
    • Successfully complete Starkey training programs and new product training requirements


  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements



  • Education

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.


  • Experience

    • Must have five years of event planning experience





Knowledge / Technical Requirements



  • Intermediate level of experience required with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Intermediate level of experience with Cvent registration & event management software required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for position
  • Ability to organize multiple high-level projects simultaneously
  • Ability to meet deadlines and stay on budget under stress and pressure
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills


Working Conditions



  • Standard office conditions while in the office.
  • Nights/weekends required
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • At events, light lifting and extended periods of standing may be required.


The target pay range for this position is between $64,680 - $90,000 / year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
