How can you make an impact?

The Published Analytics Support for the Data & Analytics (D&A) supports the development and deployment of business intelligence datasets and reporting dashboards for one of McGraw Hill's four business units (K12, Higher Education, Professional, and International) or corporate functions (HR, Finance).

This highly cross-functional position acts as a member of the liaison team between the business units, the D&A teams responsible for gathering and translating stakeholder requirements into D&A deliverables. This role will require a mix of technical skills and business savvy and someone who can dive into the data as well as converse with stakeholders on business priority and value.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What You'll Do:

• Support the Published Analytics Lead responsible for understanding business needs and analyzing data from stakeholders to drive analytical support and/or initiate project escalation with D&A business partners.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights to drive data-driven solutions and recommendations.
• Remain creative, responsive and adaptive in a dynamic team environment and have the aptitude and desire to learn new competencies and the ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions.
• Manage work intake and prioritize D&A project requests within the published analytics team.
• Create and define best practices for documentation of all key reporting, including identification of control processes and following appropriate change control processes.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and partners.

What You Bring:

• 5 or more years of experience in an analytical or reporting role with heavy emphasis on quantitative analysis and data analytics or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience performing business intelligence, data warehousing, big data, data mining, modeling, and data analysis work using SQL, Python, Alteryx, and/or similar tools etc.
• Demonstrated experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Ability to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with well-established ability to interact well with others to accomplish organizational objectives.
• Effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders and align their expectations.
• Ability to work well independently and as a leadership member of a team.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Experience Oracle applications and/or other enterprise software.
• Experience with statistical analysis packages used for data science.

The pay range for this position is between $82,150-$120,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
