Position Title: Press Brake Operator
Wage: $47,840-$54,080/year Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to operate press brake equipment in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. This position is a great opportunity for someone with previous press brake or metal fabrication experience who has a solid foundation and is looking to continue developing their skills. This is a direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO. Press Brake Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and operate CNC press brake equipment - Follow blueprints, work orders, and setup instructions to accurately form parts - Select and install appropriate tooling based on job requirements - Make basic machine adjustments as needed throughout production - Use measuring instruments to verify bends, dimensions, and finished part quality - Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet specifications - Troubleshoot basic setup or part issues and make necessary corrections - Maintain an organized and safe work area - Follow production schedules and communicate any quality or equipment concerns - Learn and operate company-specific press brake equipment and controls Press Brake Operator Requirements: - Previous press brake or similar metal fabrication experience preferred - General understanding of press brake operation, setups, and tooling - Ability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and measurements - Comfortable using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn - Ability to take direction and work independently once trained - Experience with Ermak or CI Bend press brakes is a plus - Experience with Delem controllers is a plus but not required - Willingness to train on company-specific machines and processes QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
