Position Title: Machine Operator - Stamping
Wage: $18.00/hour Shift: 1st or 2nd Hours: 5:00AM - 3:00PM or 3:00PM - 1:00AM (Monday - Thursday, Possible OT on Friday) Are you simply working for the weekend? This is a potential to hire position for 1st or 2nd shift. Apply today! Machine Operator - Stamping Responsibilities: - Operating single-stroke and coil fed punch press equipment safely and efficiently - Performing visual and dimensional inspections using measuring devices, gauges, fixtures, and other quality tools to ensure products meet blueprint and customer specifications - Loading and unloading metal coils with or without assistance as needed - Inspecting, packaging, and labeling finished products according to customer requirements and company procedures - Verifying bills of materials and production orders to ensure accurate product manufacturing - Safely operating pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment as needed - Meeting or exceeding production, efficiency, and quality goals - Completing required company training and maintaining compliance with all safety and operational requirements - Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment Requirements for Machine Operator - Stamping: - High school diploma or equivalent - Basic math, measurement and reading comprehension skills - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Prior machining operation experience; preferably in stamping or similar production environment - Ability to walk/stand for 8-10 hours; lifting/moving up to 50 pounds regularly - Familiarity with hand tools and other manufacturing equipment - Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments - Strong attention to detail - Ability to work independently and within a team QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
