Phlebotomist I

We are seeking a Phlebotomist I to support an IOP location in Matthews, NC. The selected candidate will work as part of a team and perform blood draws for a diverse patient population. This position will handle approximately 25-35 patients per day and requires strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience.

• Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and efficiently.
• Perform approximately 25-35 patient draws per day.
• Provide quality phlebotomy services to pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support daily laboratory operations.
• Ensure specimens are properly identified, labeled, handled, and prepared for processing.
• Follow established safety, infection-control, and specimen-collection procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow all applicable laboratory and compliance requirements.

• Phlebotomy experience with strong blood-drawing skills.
• Pediatric (pedi) and geriatric (geri) patient experience.
• Ability to work comfortably as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform a high volume of patient draws while maintaining accuracy.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Color vision is required.
• Negative THC screening is required.
• Flu vaccination will be required once flu season begins.
• COVID vaccination is not required.
• Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended; candidates may decline and complete a declination form.
• Must be able to successfully complete applicable background and onboarding requirements.
