Position Summary: The Department of Pediatrics and Children's Specialty Group, Division of Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children's Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible physician (or appropriate faculty role) to join our expanding Cardiology team, supporting our Northeast Wisconsin - Fox Valley Region. Department/Division Highlights: The Pediatric Cardiology Division at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Wisconsin is seeking a pediatric cardiologist to join its growing Northeast Wisconsin team. This position represents an exciting opportunity to become the fourth pediatric cardiologist based in Northeast Wisconsin, supporting a region with increasing demand for high-quality pediatric cardiovascular care and a strong commitment to expanding local access to specialty services. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of three established cardiologists providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Together, the team works closely with primary care providers, regional hospitals, and community partners to deliver exceptional care while fostering meaningful relationships with patients and families across the region. This role combines the benefits of a community-based ambulatory practice with the resources and support of a nationally recognized academic heart center. Clinical responsibilities will include approximately three days per week of outpatient pediatric cardiology practice in Northeast Wisconsin, with additional clinical activities in Milwaukee that may be tailored to the candidate's interests, expertise, and career goals. The candidate will be integrated into the Herma Heart Institute (HHI), one of the nation's premier pediatric and congenital heart programs. The HHI includes 3 congenital heart surgeons, 30 pediatric and adult congenital cardiologists, eight pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, 11 pediatric intensivists, 22 advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary team of more than 300 professionals dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care for children and adults with congenital heart disease. The Herma Heart Institute provides comprehensive subspecialty expertise across advanced cardiac imaging, fetal cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and transplantation, cardiac intensive care, and congenital heart surgery. This integrated network allows patients throughout Wisconsin to access world-class cardiovascular care while remaining connected to their local communities whenever possible. The division maintains a strong commitment to education, quality improvement, and research. Faculty have opportunities to participate in teaching, scholarly activities, and clinical innovation through the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Research Institute, with involvement tailored to individual interests and career aspirations. Through the Forward Pediatric Alliance, a strategic partnership between Children's Wisconsin and UW Health Kids/American Family Children's Hospital, faculty benefit from broad regional collaborations and opportunities to advance patient care, education, and research across Wisconsin. Children's and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin - the Children's Specialty Group (CSG) - are the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children's Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.
