Reporting to the Vice President, Product Management & Development, this role owns product onboarding, platform and share class updates, sponsor and fund-family relationships, reporting, advisor-facing resources, and cross-functional projects across brokerage and advisory platforms, including products that share attributes with complex product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution-focused product management role supporting coordination, analysis, and ongoing support for traded product categories, including mutual funds, ETFs, ETPs, and UITs.
  • Owns roadmap development, product prioritization, governance alignment, sponsor strategy, advisor education, and cross-functional execution for assigned mutual fund, ETF, ETP, and UIT product categories.
  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle for assigned traded products, including intake, business case development, review coordination, onboarding, launch readiness, post-launch monitoring, share class updates, fund family changes, fund mergers or closures, product restrictions, and removal from the shelf when appropriate.
  • Create disciplined processes for evaluating products that may deliver similar exposures through different vehicles, helping reduce inconsistent treatment across mutual funds, ETFs, ETPs, UITs, advisory platforms, and model-based solutions.
  • Oversee product availability, platform and share class requirements, operational dependencies, data feed and product-lookup accuracy, fee considerations, advisor education needs, disclosure support, and communication planning.
  • Ensure product changes, sponsor and fund-family updates, platform constraints, trading considerations, and issue escalations are documented, prioritized, and communicated to the right stakeholders.
  • Serve as the strategic Product Management contact for assigned fund families, ETF sponsors, UIT sponsors, and platform partners.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, committee materials, decision summaries, product updates, and strategy recommendations.
  • Promote a collaborative culture that supports disciplined decision-making, clear ownership, and practical execution.
  • Draft, update, and maintain advisor-facing product materials, FAQs, intranet content, product guides, share class and product-availability talking points, and internal reference resources.
  • Support webinars, training sessions, thematic campaigns, launch communications, and ongoing education designed to improve advisor understanding of mutual fund, ETF, ETP, and UIT use cases, trading characteristics, and limitations.
  • Translate mutual fund, ETF, ETP, and UIT product concepts into clear, practical language for financial professionals, field leaders, sales partners, and non-investment-oriented stakeholders.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. FINRA Series 7 license strongly preferred.

Basic Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, platform management, product operations, due diligence, trading, investment solutions, or wealth management strategy.
  • Working knowledge of one or more traded product categories, such as mutual funds, ETFs, exchange-traded products, unit investment trusts, share classes, active or thematic ETFs, defined-outcome ETFs, or similar structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to review product details, adoption data, share class and fee considerations, operational impacts, and market information to identify themes and recommended actions.
  • Strong project management and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, stakeholders, and open items.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain product, platform, and trading concepts clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare clean reports, presentations, trackers, and decision-support materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Product Management, Due Diligence, Compliance, Supervision, Trading, Operations, Product Systems, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Recruiting, sponsors, and vendors.

Preferred Requirements:

  • FINRA Series 7 preferred or willingness to obtain if required for the role. Series 6, 63, 65, or 66 may also be helpful depending on business need.
  • Experience supporting mutual fund share class governance, product data feeds, product-lookup tools, security master processes, ETF review standards, or platform availability controls.
  • Familiarity with tools or partners such as Morningstar Direct, Envestnet, Pershing, NFS, fund families, ETF sponsors, UIT sponsors, transfer agents, custodians, or similar systems.
