Job Summary

TheSupervisor Paramedicworks directly with the Operations Manager to support and oversee the day-to-day delivery of emergency medical services while promoting the values, guiding principles, and strategicobjectivesof Global Medical Response (GMR). This positionis responsible forensuring operational excellence, clinical quality, employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and community partnership development. The Supervisor Paramedic supports organizational goals by fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders,maintaininghigh service standards, driving operational efficiencies, and contributing to market growth and profitability. Success in this role is achieved through effective leadership, regulatory compliance, continuous quality improvement, employee development, and a commitment to GMR's mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.

Essential Functions / Duties

  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service by treating internal customers with the same level of professionalism, respect, and responsiveness as external customers.

  • Ensureoptimalservice levels for agencies, hospitals, healthcare partners, and the communities served.
  • Analyze customer feedback and satisfaction data toidentifyopportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Remain current on EMS industry trends, operational best practices, and regulatory changes that mayimpactservice delivery.
  • Assistin planning, monitoring, and controlling operating budgets within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Participate in marketing, community outreach, and business development initiatives to support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial, operational, and performance-related reports toidentifytrends and support informed decision-making.
  • Implement operational improvements and cost-containment measures whilemaintainingservice quality and patient care standards.
  • Support and integrate clinical management activities to ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Design, implement, andmaintainprocesses that improve operational effectiveness, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all AMR/GMR policies, procedures, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement through collaboration with clinical leadership, communications centers, and protocol review processes.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with public and private emergency response partners and community stakeholders.
  • Establish and communicate operational goals andobjectivesthat align with regional and organizational strategies.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, and clear performance expectations to field personnel and supervisors.
  • Manage employee performance byestablishingstandards, measuring results, delivering feedback, and supporting professional development.
  • Serve as a resource for employees byassistingwith problem resolution, operational challenges, and performance improvement.
  • Ensure employees are treated fairly, consistently, andin accordance withcompany policies and organizational values.
  • Model and reinforce GMR's Vision, Values, and Guiding Principles in all interactions and decision-making.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, EEO, DOT, and allapplicablelocal, state, and federal employment and safety regulations.
  • Develop, support, and promote team-based approaches to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Ensure effective,timely, and fiscally responsible administration of operational contracts and agreements.
  • Participate in community events and outreach activities to strengthen organizational reputation and community partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other GMR operating companies and regional teams toidentifyand implement best practices.
  • Support the successful integration of newlyacquiredoperations andassistwith change management initiatives.
  • Assistin administering capital resources and budgets to maximize operational effectiveness and return on investment.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Maintain compliance with information security policies and procedures and support a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
  • Participate in required information security training and promptly report security concerns or incidents.
  • Mentor employees and support career development through coaching, training, and leadership guidance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and administer corrective or disciplinary actionsin accordance withcompany policy.
  • Foster individual and team development initiatives that improve employee engagement, performance, retention, and operational outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with and enforcement of all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education / Licensing / Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Medical Services, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Current state Paramedic certification/licensurerequired.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and anyadditional certificationsrequired by local, state, or company standards.
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets AMR/GMR insurability requirements.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of EMS leadership, supervisory, or management experience, including direct employee supervision.
  • Demonstrated success in building andmaintainingeffective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency medical operations, preferably in a Paramedic EMS role.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced EMS or healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to manage operational performance, employee development, and customer service initiatives.
  • Experience with budgeting, performance metrics, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational and financial data and implement process improvements that drive results.
