About the Role

Position Title: Vulnerability Management Coordinator

Position Overview: Visions Federal Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented Vulnerability Management Coordinator to support our vulnerability management process. In this role, you will review daily scan results, help assign basic risk ratings, prioritize remediation activities, and create and track remediation tickets through resolution. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational cybersecurity or IT knowledge who enjoys organizing information, following up on action items, and helping reduce risk across the organization.

Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week). Monday to Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Compensation Range: $23.00/hr. - $30.00/hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*

Location: On-site at our Corporate Headquarters in Endwell, NY.


What You'll Do

  • Monitor daily results from vulnerability scanning tools and identify new, recurring, and critical vulnerabilities.
  • Apply basic risk ratings using defined scoring frameworks to help prioritize remediation activities.
  • Escalate high-risk items to senior team members for prompt review and action.
  • Create clear, actionable remediation tickets and route them to the appropriate owners.
  • Track remediation progress, follow up on open items, and maintain accurate records of vulnerability status.
  • Support the preparation of vulnerability and remediation reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to support security, compliance, and organizational priorities.


What Success Looks Like

  • Vulnerabilities are accurately documented, prioritized, and assigned for remediation.
  • Remediation tickets are clear, complete, and followed through to resolution.
  • High-risk vulnerabilities are escalated quickly and appropriately.
  • Internal stakeholders receive timely updates and reliable information on vulnerability status.
  • You build strong working relationships while supporting Visions' commitment to service, integrity, community, and trust.


What We're Looking For

Minimum qualifications:



  • Associate's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and networking fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of common vulnerability types, such as missing patches and misconfigurations.
  • Familiarity with CVSS scoring and patch management concepts at a foundational level.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs.


Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
  • Exposure to vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems.
