YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE We are looking for a Lab Sanitation Technician in 7150 Windsor Drive, Allentown, PA 18106 USA. Your mission will be to: Position Summary This position is responsible for providing basic assistance to the operations of the laboratory washing containers used in the process of testing. Essential Functions and Responsibilities * Wash containers used in analysis. * Maintain a safe clean work area around the sink. * Maintain clean laboratory by discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, water baths etc using cleaning solvents. * Maintain a clean laboratory by properly storing chemicals, reagents and supplies. Maintain adequate stock of these materials. * Organize laboratory glassware and plastics. * Decontaminate laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave. * Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process. * This position has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the quality system or test procedures and document such observations in accordance with the prescribed complaint system. * Other related duties as assigned. * At any time, the incumbent must behave and operate in an ethical and Code of Conduct compliant manner. Communication * Direct Supervisor: Regularly communicates for guidance, performance feedback, and project updates. * Team Members: Collaborates with team members to ensure effective execution of tasks, exchange of information, and teamwork in daily operations.
Qualifications Required * This position requires the ability to follow specific instructions. * High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience. * The incumbent performs routine tasks that follow established procedures. * The incumbent uses knowledge of the area and the advice of the supervisor to solve problems. * Established guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures provide information to determine the correct preparation techniques. Work Environment: * Work is conducted in a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals, biological agents, and hazardous materials. * Must follow strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). * Moderate noise levels and potential exposure to infectious agents. * Regular cleaning and sterilization of workspaces required.
