Construction Assistant Project Manager Position Summary Vaco of Highspring is hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant Project Manager / Junior Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout. This role serves as a key member of the operations team, supporting project planning, client communications, subcontractor coordination, and overall project execution while working directly with a Senior Project Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist in leading construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and construction activities to support successful project delivery. Participate in client meetings, document discussions, and maintain accurate meeting minutes. Independently process, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals. Maintain material procurement and tracking logs while monitoring equipment lead time. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams. Serve as a primary point of communication for assigned projects and ongoing client workstreams. Support project documentation, reporting, and overall project administration. Travel to project sites as needed to monitor progress and support field operations. Qualifications Education Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Required Experience 1 to 3 years of relevant construction industry experience preferred. Experience supporting commercial construction projects and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of construction project management processes. Ability to manage RFIs, submittals, procurement tracking, and project documentation. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams and clients. Work Environment & Compensation Full-time position (40 hours per week). Primarily onsite with flexibility to work remotely approximately 1 to 2 days per month. Project site travel required as needed. Salary range: $70,000 to $85,000 annually Optional vehicle/truck allowance available. Bonus opportunity up to 10% of annual salary.
