Position Title: Utility
Wage: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday) QPS Employment Group has a great Utility position available at a company in St. Louis, MO. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Utility Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment - Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts - Places and secures work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches - Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blueprints - Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices - Complete work order paperwork - Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures - Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required - Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department - Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use - Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency - Assist with training other team members - Follow safety rules and quality standards Utility Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required - Prior experience in a manufacturing industry preferred - Excellent math skills - Ability to understand drawing and blueprints - Ability to use basic measuring instruments - Excellent problem-solving skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Ability to work overtime as needed - Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds IND124 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
