Position Title: Machine Tending - 1st Shift

Machine Tending Responsibilities: - Tend injection molding or production machines to ensure continuous operation - Remove finished plastic pallets from production machines in a safe and timely manner - Inspect pallets for quality defects, damage, or molding inconsistencies - Trim or cut excess plastic flash from finished pallets using approved hand tools - Stack finished pallets according to company standards for storage or shipment - Monitor machine operation and promptly report equipment malfunctions or production concerns to supervisors - Maintain accurate production counts and complete required production documentation - Keep workstations clean and free of excess plastic scrap and debris - Separate and dispose of scrap material in designated recycling or waste containers - Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements - Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and quality goals Requirements for Machine Tending: - Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred but not required - Ability to safely operate in a fast-paced production environment - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Reliable attendance and punctuality - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic math and counting skills for production tracking - Experience using hand tools for trimming or finishing plastic products is a plus - Frequently lift, carry, and stack plastic pallets weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift - Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift - Ability to frequently bend, twist, squat, reach, and stoop while handling products and operating equipment - Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements while trimming plastic flash and stacking pallets - Ability to frequently grasp, grip, and manipulate finished products and hand tools QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
