Job Title: Phlebotomist II Worksite: 22 West Guilford Street, Thomasville, NC Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Duration: 3+ months Contract-to-Possible-Hire Training/reporting location: 2530 Empire Drive, Winston-Salem, NC. Job Summary seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join its patient services team in Thomasville, NC. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection, processing samples, handling cash sales, and providing professional customer service to patients of all age groups. This is an onsite position offering an opportunity to gain additional experience in phlebotomy and specimen processing within a professional healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely. Collect blood and other patient specimens according to established procedures. Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Handle approximately 15-20 patient draws per day. Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients. Assist with cash sales and related transactions as required. Properly identify patients and specimens and maintain accurate documentation. Follow all applicable safety, compliance, and laboratory procedures. Work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Support patients across all age groups. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Utilize computer systems for documentation and other daily responsibilities. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Phlebotomy experience is required. Approximately 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred/required for the role. Experience with specimen/sample processing. Strong customer service skills. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow compliance requirements. Work Environment Onsite at the Thomasville, NC patient service location. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Approximately 15-20 draws per day. Expected to stand approximately 4-5 hours per day. Candidate will primarily work independently. Serves patients of all age groups. Approximately 2 weeks of initial training. | |
