Senior Analyst

Purpose:


  • Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Senior Analyst in a key waterfront support role for in-service combatant Navy ships with a direct role in planning, directing, and coordinating activities of various maintenance projects and casualty resolutions under cognizance of PEO Mission Systems IWS. Provide direct support to the Program Executive Office Mission Systems Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO MS IWS Code 1FR) Program Manager Representative (PMR).
  • This position is located in Mayport, FL.


Job Description:


  • Provide direct support to the Program Executive Office Mission Systems Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO MS IWS) Program Manager Representative (PMR) for In-Service combatant USN ships.
  • Responsible for overseeing a large size program (engineering, design, production, or logistics, etc) with several components.
  • Coordinates efforts with Naval Surface Warfare Centers, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers in the resolution of systems integration and maintenance issues.
  • Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform project/program to meet customer requirements.
  • Oversees the execution of planned and programmatic installations and resolves any issues that occur during those availabilities and AIT installations.
  • Requires extensive and frequent use of applicable USN practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Supports the Missile Defense Agency's Waterfront Readiness Officer for those commands possessing BMD capabilities.
  • Must work with all stakeholders to coordinate pre-deployment, post deployment, shipyard availabilities, and CSSQT and SCN turnover briefings. Monitors the ongoing Combat System status of ships undergoing major maintenance and modernization activities in local and coast wide availabilities while coordinating efforts with the assigned Combat System Project Engineer and Port Engineer.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of managing government contract(s) including ensuring contract compliance and customer interface.
  • Responsible for overseeing a multitude of maintenance contracts. Position is not responsible for Profit and Loss (P&L).
  • Serve as liaison between PMR and Commander, Surface Forces Atlantic Fleet, Fleet Forces Command, Commander, Naval Air Forces Atlantic Fleet and other major Type Commanders ensuring that IWS. Systems concerns are adequately staffed and resolved.
  • Attend ISIC Maintenance meetings, report ISIC concerns to PMR leadership
  • Attend ships Planning Board for Maintenance (PB4M) to discuss programmatic shortfalls, provide guidance for logistic support
  • Involved and actively contributes to local Configuration control boards (LCCB's) and other configuration and modernization venues where Combat Systems aboard Surface combatants are concerned.
  • Assists Advance Availability planners in developing work packages for assigned ships.
  • Provides, on a recurring basis, readiness reports and other metrics related to the status of units assigned to Mayport, FL.
  • Schedules assessments for Commander, Surface Force Atlantic. Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers and customer representatives. Conducts briefings and meetings.
  • Actively develops the requirements and coordinates the logistics for Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Test set (ADEPT) for AEGIS platforms with installed AN/SPY-1 radar systems, coordinating efforts with NSWC Crane and Equipment Manufacturer, MIKROS LLC. Maintains custody of classified material transiting to and from installation agents and end use commands.
  • Coordinates the validation, development, and production/delivery of Combat System Operation Sequencing System materials to units completing their CNO authorized installations and modernization.
  • Provide technical, logistic, and administrative support to Aegis Modernization Team, PMS 470, PMS 400, and SEA 21 command personnel
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.


Qualifications:


  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience; and at least 7 years' of program or project management experience; in lieu of a degree a High school diploma or equivalent and at least 20 years of related experience.
  • Must have the ability to work as an independent contributor and manage project deliverables.
  • Must have experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on US Navy combat systems.


Desired Qualifications:


  • Preferred AEGIS FC CSMM experience, STO or EMO graduates of AEGIS CSO course.


Security Requirement:


  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.


Travel Requirements:


  • Occasional travel- Less than 10%
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:


  • Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment. Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $115,000 - $120,000 per year
