Inside Sales

Summary Overview:

We are a well established cutting tool distributor seeking a customer-focused individual to join our inside sales team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, supporting daily sales operations, and contributing to a team-driven environment. The primary responsibilities include providing customer service, processing orders accurately and efficiently, preparing quotes for customers, expediting shipments and deliveries, and providing support in the warehouse when required. This role offers exposure to multiple facets of order fulfillment and customer relations, and provides opportunities to develop product knowledge and sales skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inbound customer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and timely follow-up.
• Enter orders into the order management system and verify accuracy of pricing, part numbers and shipping information.
• Prepare and send quotes to customers, follow up on open quotes and help convert them to sales.
• Expedite orders and coordinate with warehouse and shipping partners to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Provide backup support in the warehouse when needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is helpful but not required; we will train motivated candidates.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using computers and common business software; familiarity with order entry systems is a plus.

Certifications:

No specific certifications required. Fork Truck certification is helpful and will be considered an asset.
