Schedule: 1st shift, 7:45 - 4:15 PM

Job Duties



  • Inspects all incoming inserts.
  • Maintains receiving inspection and vendor DMR files.
  • Collects, reports, and maintains nonconforming material records from both internal and external sources.
  • Facilitates the training of individuals doing outside work or rework/sorting of nonconforming product.
  • Schedules outside work or rework activities to meet priorities based on the customer's requirements.
  • Stages materials for outside work or rework as required.
  • Monitors completed reworked parts.
  • Effectively controls all non-conforming inserts and raw materials.



Education Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED required.



Experience Requirements



  • 5 years of experience inspecting manufactured products using established quality standards and specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Must possess basic math, reading, writing, word-processing, and spreadsheet skills.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Incoming Inspector.



Physical Capabilities



  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
