Position Purpose
North Carolina A&T State University periodically has temporary part-time staffing needs to support operations within the Ticketing Office and at athletic and university-sponsored events. This recruitment is intended to identify qualified candidates for temporary event and ticketing opportunities as workforce needs arise.
Temporary assignments may be available in a variety of event support functions, including ticket sales, customer service, concessions, event operations, and facility support. Assignments may support athletic competitions, commencement ceremonies, concerts, conferences, and other university-sponsored events. Assignment length, work schedule, and level of responsibility will vary based on departmental needs, with many positions requiring evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
Potential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Selling and distributing event tickets in person, online, or by phone
- Providing excellent customer service to patrons, guests, and event attendees
- Assisting with ticket scanning, admissions, and guest entry procedures
- Responding to questions regarding event schedules, seating, policies, and venue information
- Supporting concession operations, including food and beverage sales
- Assisting with event setup, breakdown, and venue preparation activities
- Performing environmental services functions to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
- Monitoring assigned areas to support positive guest experiences and venue operations
- Assisting with crowd management and directing patrons to designated locations
- Operating point-of-sale systems, cash handling equipment, and related event technology
- Providing general administrative and operational support as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor

The mission of the Ticket Office is to support the University community and external guests by managing, promoting, and facilitating ticket sales for Athletics and other university-sponsored events. The Ticket Office is committed to delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for patrons attending events at North Carolina A&T State University.
North Carolina A&T State University sponsors 13 varsity athletic programs and competes at the
NCAA Division I level. The University is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (
CAA) in all sports except Football and Women's Bowling. Through its ticketing and event operations, the Ticket Office plays a vital role in supporting student-athletes, enhancing fan engagement, and contributing to the success of athletic competitions and campus events.
The Ticket Office serves as a primary point of contact for event attendees, providing ticketing services, event information, and customer support while helping to foster an enjoyable and welcoming environment for all guests.
