Summary of Position:	The part-time clinical instructor provides clinical oversight and support to students completing their internship/clinical education experiences at affiliated clinical sites. The instructor serves as a liaison between the student, clinical site, clinical instructor/preceptor, and program to promote student success and ensure appropriate progress toward clinical competencies. Adjunct clinical instructors will be responsible for communicating with their assigned clinical sites, performing two visits with the students; one electronically and one in person at the clinical site, reviewing masteries, grading case studies and documenting progress in Trajecsys. They will be the primary contact with the clinical site with back up from the 2nd year clinical coordinator. The anticipated start date of this position is October 2026. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Required Education:	Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
Required Work Experience:	Two years of clinical radiography experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications:	Must be currently ARRT(R) Certified.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:	Master's degree in a health-related field.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:	Travel to assigned clinical sites and conduct on-site student visits once or twice per semester, or more frequently as needed based on student or clinical site needs. Observe and evaluate student performance in the clinical setting and provide timely feedback regarding strengths, areas for improvement, and overall progress. Guide and support students in the application of clinical procedures, skills, and professional practices. Provide students with practical tips, guidance, and recommendations to enhance clinical performance and confidence. Review student progress and documentation in the program's clinical tracking software and identify areas requiring additional attention or follow-up. Monitor student progress toward required clinical competencies and identify skills or mastery areas that have not yet been demonstrated or achieved. Collaborate with clinical instructors/preceptors to develop strategies for addressing identified performance or competency gaps. Provide constructive coaching and individualized recommendations to help students successfully meet clinical objectives and program requirements. Document site visits, student evaluations, concerns, recommendations, and follow-up activities as appropriate. Communicate significant student concerns or issues to the appropriate program faculty or program coordinator in a timely manner. Maintain professional relationships with clinical affiliates and contribute to positive, collaborative partnerships between the program and clinical sites. Promote adherence to program expectations, clinical site policies, professional standards, and applicable accreditation requirements. Participate in meetings, training, or program activities related to clinical education as requested. Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically. Clinical faculty have professional responsibilities in patient care and clinical instruction, which may include being accessible to students outside of regular clinical assignment hours. Participation in traditional functions that have academic significance, which includes assessing students' clinical proficiency in accordance with university systems and guidelines. Clinical faculty are required to provide in-person instruction. Operates a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. Will authorize, pursuant to university policies and procedures, a driving record check, and will meet the driving authorization requirements through the course of employment in a position where you are authorized to drive a vehicle as part of your duties. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with university policies and applicable laws. Cultivates an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
