Position Description

The Contract Analyst is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and managing federal contract requirements to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support successful contract execution. This role serves as a subject matter expert on contract requirements, provides guidance to internal stakeholders, conducts contract reviews, performs risk assessments, and leads the analysis of deliverables, modifications, directives, and contract-related issues.



The Contract Analyst functions as a strategic partner across departments to ensure organizational activities align with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.



Key Responsibilities

Contract Analysis & Compliance



  • Analyze contract requirements, modifications, directives, and task orders.
  • Interpret federal contract language, regulations, and government guidance.
  • Provide recommendations regarding contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct contract compliance reviews and identify areas of risk.
  • Support preparation of responses to government inquiries, audits, and findings.
  • Monitor adherence to contract requirements and reporting obligations.


Risk Management



  • Identify and implement on risks and issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis of contract performance concerns.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and corrective action recommendations.
  • Escalate significant compliance or performance risks to leadership.


Contract Execution Support



  • Evaluate scope alignment for new requests, initiatives, and government directives.
  • Assess impacts of proposed contract modifications or changes.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, project management, and operational teams.
  • Support contract transition, renewal, rebid, and proposal activities.


Deliverables Oversight



  • Review deliverables for contractual compliance and quality.
  • Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure deliverable requirements are accurately interpreted and communicated.


Continuous Improvement



  • Analyze recurring issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Continue to develop skills and knowledge with other areas; continuous growth
  • Recommend and own, drive contract management improvements enhancements.
  • Develop metrics and reporting to improve contract performance.



Minimum Requirements



  • 5+ years of contract administration, federal contracting, compliance, or project management experience.

  • Experience performing risk assessments and compliance reviews.

Additional Skills & Qualifications



  • Experience supporting federal government contracts.
  • Knowledge of FAR, agency regulations, and federal acquisition processes.
  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification.
  • Experience supporting large, complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory inquiries, and corrective action activities.



Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Contract Management, Project Management, Health Administration, or a related field or equivalent, related professional experience



Physical Requirements



  • General office demands

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Frequent reaching, handling, and fine manipulation for using office equipment, filing, and managing paperwork.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office tools.
    • Occasional standing, walking, and bending.
    • Ability to lift up to 10-20 pounds occasionally.
    • Vision abilities required include close vision for computer work and reading documents.
