The Business Data Analyst - Third Party Lending transforms data into actionable insights that drive lending performance and business success. Partnering with stakeholders and lending partners, this role identifies opportunities, solves business challenges, and supports continuous improvement. Through reporting, analytics, and data-driven recommendations, the analyst helps optimize lending operations, enhance partner performance, and influence decisions that deliver measurable results.

What You'll Do:

  • Analyze third-party lending processes, workflows, and performance data to identify trends, root causes, improvement opportunities, and potential business impacts.
  • Gather, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources-including partner, loan origination, and portfolio systems-to support business initiatives, operational decisions, and strategic objectives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and scorecards that deliver meaningful insights into partner performance, loan production, and operational metrics.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple databases and source systems supporting third-party lending.
  • Define, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators and success measures to assess partner and program performance against established goals.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and third-party lending partners to understand requirements, document needs, and translate business questions into actionable analyses and recommendations.
  • Conduct moderate-to-complex data analyses to support process improvements, system enhancements, operational effectiveness, and organizational initiatives.
  • Identify risks, gaps, inconsistencies, or emerging issues within data, processes, or partner operations and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Support implementation efforts by validating requirements, testing outcomes, monitoring results, and ensuring intended business objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare clear, concise summaries and presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and performance results to leadership and cross-functional audiences.
  • May coordinate or lead discrete analytical projects or portions of larger third-party lending initiatives while managing timelines and deliverables.

Essential Skills:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analytics expertise, including the ability to analyze large datasets, interpret results, and develop recommendations that support business objectives.
  • Experience supporting third-party, partner, or vendor lending relationships preferred.
  • Strong background in Tableau dashboard design and development, including data source connections, calculated fields, and interactive visualizations, is required.
  • Proficiency writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, join, and analyze data across multiple databases and source systems is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partners across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, performance measurement practices, and business analysis techniques is preferred.
  • Experience with additional analytics or data tools (e.g., Python, R, Power BI, Excel/Power Query) is a plus.
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Certification/License: Tableau certification a plus.

Target Compensation:$74,000 to $89,000 annually + annual bonus
