The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$149,000.00 - $223,400.00
Purpose Statement: The Supply Chain (SC) Solutions Director will partner with Business Development and Executive Leadership during the pre-sales, early engagement and contracting processes to lead the design of customized, high-performance supply chain models that win customer contracts. Assuming a leadership role, the Solutions Director will architect supply chain strategies focused on total cost of ownership, risk reduction and customer satisfaction unique to each engagement. The Director will apply the full set of Plexus Supply Chain Solutions to bring value to each customer program.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Architect Supply Chain solutions that meet complex customer needs, while achieving Plexus's strategic objectives. Translate supplier, material and costing requirements from Customers into Plexus cross functional teams as the lead sourcing and materials expert.
  • Deliver compelling representations of supply chain capabilities and customer specific supply chain strategies in direct support of securing new business. Build trust and rapport with future Customers through intentional customer relationship development.
  • Analyze customer demand patterns and prospective bills of material (BOMs) early in the sales cycle to identify gaps in sources, long and volatile lead times, capacity constraints, or single-source risks. Proactively design mitigation and buffering strategies to offset this uncertainty before contracts are signed creating the basis of a supply chain continuity plan. Guide advanced sourcing commodity teams in pursuit of new technologies and capabilities.
  • Lead the negotiation process for Supply Chain specific Terms and Conditions, Letters of Intent and Professional Services Agreements ensuring protection of both Customer and Supply Chain needs. Provide financial models of agreed upon terms as needed in support of long term, strategic partnerships with new customers.
  • Work cross functionally with Plexus technical experts to anticipate unique component requirements and the resultant impact on supply chain performance. Provide necessary guidance to new programs and cross functional teams ensuring a BoM is executable through continued reduction of SC uncertainty as products move into production.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated record of Supply Chain success in Customer facing roles, commodity sourcing knowledge, materials management and project/program management.

Other Qualifications:

  • Executive business and supply chain acumen capable of working seamlessly from materials planners to executive leaders of Plexus and our Customers.
  • The individual must maintain objectivity and possess proactive problem solving skills, along with the ability to make timely and effective recommendations to resolve problems as they arise.
  • The ideal candidate is self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision. They possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment across multiple functions.
  • The individual needs excellent written and oral communication skills with functional understanding of Profit and Loss statements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
