ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr Project Manager T&D provides strategic leadership and oversight for large, complex Transmission and Distribution projects and project teams, ensuring successful delivery aligned with organizational objectives, client expectations, and financial targets. This role may be responsible for managing multiple projects or programs, while overseeing project managers and project staff, and ensuring effective coordination across internal departments, clients, subcontractors, and field teams

MYRE serves customers participating in a nationwide engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery. We work on a wide range of projects and EPC contracting services, including large transmission and substation projects, complete solar facilities, and energy storage.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale or high-complexity construction projects from initiation through closeout
  • Provide strategic direction to project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget
  • Establish project execution strategies and ensure alignment with organizational priorities and client objectives
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while driving proactive problem-solving across project teams
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects or large programs, ensuring consistent project management practices and successful delivery across the portfolio
  • Monitor overall project performance including schedule adherence, financial outcomes, and resource utilization
  • Support organizational growth initiatives by aligning project capacity and resources with business objectives
  • Maintain high-level oversight of project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and financial reporting
  • Ensure contract compliance while managing project financial risks and maximizing project profitability
  • Guide project teams in managing cost controls and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development for Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project coordination staff
  • Support talent development by coaching team members on project management best practices, leadership skills, and strategic decision-making
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders
  • Lead high-level client meetings, progress reviews, and strategic project discussions
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and partners to support long-term business success
  • Ensure project management processes, reporting structures, and documentation standards are consistently followed
  • Lead project review meetings to evaluate project health, identify risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Champion a strong culture of safety and ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Regular and predictable attendance

  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location

  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' project management and estimating in the electrical construction industry
  • Prior experience with transmission line, substation MV/HV is required
  • Experience with EHV preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or a combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary $103,549-$174,999 / year
    • Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
