About this role

At OTC, being an Applications Engineer bridges the gap between engineering design and customer requirements by providing technical expertise, product selection, and application support. What You'll Do:



  • Receive customer inquiries about new equipment or service of existing equipment
  • Analyze customer specifications and propose suitable product configurations and modifications.
  • Collaborate with sales and service teams to understand customer needs and develop tailored equipment or service solutions
  • Generate quotes via CRM or ERP and manage electronic quote and order files
  • Enter and process customer purchase orders, acting as a liaison between the manufacturer / supplier and the customer
  • Review and interpret technical documentation, including CAD drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and application data.
  • Provide technical support to customers during pre-sale and post-sale stages, including on-site visits if required.
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What You'll Need:



  • Experience in industrial equipment sales and procurement
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, project management, or similar field.
  • Experience with sizing and selection of rotating equipment (pumps and motors)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience in a customer-facing technical role.
