DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on designing, guiding, and evaluating residential services that help individuals grow and succeed. It also includes directing staff and maintaining documentation needed for high-quality active treatment. As a Residential Services Worker, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Support: Carry out residential service plans, complete assessments, and oversee active treatment activities
  • Staff Guidance: Train and direct residential services aides to ensure strong delivery of supports and procedures
  • Incident Review: Assist with examining incidents, identifying causes, and applying preventive strategies
  • Record Oversight: Review documentation to confirm accuracy, compliance, and adherence to policy requirements
  • Individual Engagement: Escort individuals to events, encourage participation, and support therapeutic routines
  • Operational Coordination: Participate in meetings, share information, and maintain effective communication across shifts

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Travel: May be required for training purposes
  • Overtime: As needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Five years of paid experience performing direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with a developmental disability; or
  • A bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences, psychology, social work, education, or nursing; or
  • One year of paid experience performing direct care and habilitative program services for individuals with a developmental disability; and a bachelors degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
