Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Division of Student Affairs is responsible for providing various student support, services and educational programs accessible to the university community. The division supports Pirate success through environments that enhance student development, engagement, belonging, well-being and career readiness. Primary Purpose of Position
The Event Manager is a key member of the Central Reservations Office ( CRO) team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Central Reservations Office, this position provides critical leadership in executing daily event operations across high-impact campus venues on the Health Sciences Campus, Brody School of Medicine, Medical Education Building, East Carolina Heart Institute ( ECHI), and the Health Sciences Student Center. This position provides leadership and supervision to a large, rotating student staff of Event Assistants while ensuring the successful execution of events, maintenance of facility standards, and delivery of responsive, customer-focused service.

The Event Manager plays an essential role in advancing campus engagement by coordinating event logistics for student organizations, university departments, and external partners. This position will provide strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Event Manager serves as a primary operational contact for event clients and campus partners, ensuring that events are executed to the highest standards.

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Experience in facility operations and venue logistics.
  • Event management experience, preferably in a university or large venue setting.
