The salary range for this position is $346,267 - $765,311. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation. Application Window Open date: September 15, 2026 Next review date: Friday, Oct 16, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Jun 30, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Clinical "X" Series) - Endourology The Department of Urologic Surgery at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X series at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank with subspecialty training in Endourology. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Expectations The candidate will be expected to contribute actively to the educational mission of the department through teaching, mentorship, and supervision of a diverse group of learners, including medical students, residents, fellows, and PA/NP students. The candidate will also engage in clinical and/or translational research, with opportunities for protected research time to support the development of a successful scholarly program. In addition, the candidate will contribute to the academic mission of the department through scholarly activities, participation in educational conferences, and other opportunities that advance the field of urology. Participation in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations is encouraged and expected. The candidate will also provide service to departmental and school committees in support of University and public service missions. Participation in call coverage and general urology clinical responsibilities will also be expected. The incumbent must foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment that fosters team science and multi-disciplinary patient care, adhere to University policies and procedures and be sensitive to the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds. This recruitment is being conducted at the assistant, associate, and full professor ranks. The resulting appointment will depend on the candidate's background, experience, and qualifications. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate that they are legally authorized to work in the United States. The University will not offer sponsorship of a visa for this position. Application Requirements The Department of Urologic Surgery at UC Davis Health is a busy academic practice with expertise encompassing all areas of urologic surgery. We have an accredited 5-year urologic surgery residency and matriculate 2/3 residents per year. UC Davis Medical Center is located in Sacramento, CA, and is the main tertiary referral center and the region's only level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center. The hospital has 660 licensed beds, with busy inpatient and outpatient surgical facilities. Located approximately 90 miles inland from San Francisco, Sacramento is culturally diverse, technologically advanced, and the fastest growing city in California. Home to the state capitol, Sacramento is also the political hub for California. In addition to excellent schools, diverse restaurants, and an expanding housing market, Sacramento also boasts proximity to incredible outdoor activities including Lake Tahoe (120 miles), Napa Valley (60 miles), and Yosemite (160 miles).
