Job Title: Project Buyer Expeditor

A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Project Buyer Expeditor you will have day-to-day involvement in Procurement activity within the business to ensure efficient management of the targets needed. You will focus on tactical execution of purchase order schedules related to material for multiple projects within New Unit Gas Turbine Business. You will focus on internal customers and partners who can't be successful without your contribution, timeliness and transparency. You will solve short term / daily issues, creating huge value for our customers. You will become an expert of tactical execution, expediting, and supply chain performance management.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Manage a work queue and secure that Purchase Orders are issued in due time.
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers, negotiate price increase requests, resolve issues pertaining to invoicing/payment.
  • Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification).
  • Maintain records of all documentation, adherence of online purchasing and contract management systems.
  • Support and/or lead Procurement Business Plan activities.
  • Strong collaboration with global and local project management and the operational material requirements planning team to achieve most effectiveness in planning, alignment and execution.
  • Continuously monitor own procurement list, follow up on execution such as order confirmation, progress, compliance with quality requirements.
  • Support and ensure compliance with transportation and customs requirements in close collaboration with Logistics team.
  • Provide weekly interval schedule progress reports.
What You Bring
  • Strong SAP transactional experience.
  • Outstanding Excel skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in direct procurement.
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast changing global organizational environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaboration and influencing techniques, result-orientation and strategic-innovative thinking required.
