Position Summary The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center invites applicants for a full-time faculty position as Open Rank. The assignment will be through the Division of Community Behavioral Health. The position will be focused on providing clinical care, leadership, education and scholarly activities related to First Episode Psychosis. Responsibilities for the position include oversight of the UNM First Episode Psychosis clinic and consultation to statewide partners on the expansion of the Coordinated Specialty Care model to individuals with First Episode Psychosis and their families. Current independent clinical licensure in New Mexico and experience providing care and education for individuals with psychosis is required. Experience providing psychotherapy supervision in CBT for psychosis is strongly desired. Experience required in providing education and supervision to diverse clinical learners such as nursing students, psychiatry residents, masters level clinicians, post-doctoral students, occupational therapy students and community members. Experience as an educational preceptor is desired. Experience desired in development and oversight of interdisciplinary team utilizing formal supervision models. Prefer candidate with formal education and experience in instructional design models, program development, evaluation, and research methods for expansion and oversight of interdisciplinary learner rotations with clear outcome measures. A candidate who demonstrates excellent teaching and clinical skills, commitment to work with individuals from diverse communities, a willingness to collaborate with faculty colleagues to deliver coordinated programs with consistent standards is required. All Lecturers are reviewed annually. Workload is determined by the Division Chair and University policies. More specifically, roles and responsibilities of this position will be as follows. This individual will have oversight of the UNM First Episode Psychosis program including provision of clinical services, supervision of clinical team, and responsibility for creating and supervising clinical training electives for interprofessional students. This individual will also have responsibility for curriculum development for statewide training in the Coordinated Specialty Care for First Episode Psychosis model and for providing clinical consultation and supervision to clinicians statewide.
