Test Technician

SAF-HOLLAND is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Test Technician to support product development and validation activities. In this role, you will build, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate current and prototype products while working closely with engineers and cross-functional team members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, fabrication, hydraulics, and mechanical testing in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

• Perform product testing by following established test procedures and documenting results.
• Build and fabricate components, fixtures, and test equipment as needed.
• Record, analyze, and prepare test reports for engineering review.
• Operate servo-hydraulic testing equipment and verify equipment calibration prior to testing.
• Maintain hydraulic units, grease machines, fixtures, and testing equipment.
• Support product development by providing feedback and observations to engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and team members to achieve project goals.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of experience in hydraulics, fabrication, welding, machine shop operations, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience operating mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and other machine shop equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

• Regular standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing and testing environment.
