Job Title:ProductionSupervisor

Location:Conyers, GA

Whatwe'relooking for:

TheProduction Supervisorprovides leadership toteam leads anda team of hourly production employees, ensuring the team meets production targets safely, on time, and toestablishedquality standards.

Whatyou'llbe responsible forinthis role:

  • Provide leadership toteamleadsand front-linehourly production team members; ensure a safe work environment, define expectations, provide resources, coach/teach/train associates, ensure accountability, and provide feedback.

  • Develop, implement, and audit daily standard work.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement; conduct root cause analysis and develop/implement corrective action plans.

  • Maintain production schedule, meeting both quality and productivity requirements.

  • Maintain good inventory control procedures for all rawmaterialthat may berequiredinassignmentdepartment(s).

  • Partner with supply chain, quality, shipping,and other departmentsto ensure the team meets production targets safely, on time, and toestablishedquality standards.

  • Ensuretimelyresponse to operational issuesimpactingcustomer expectations and project cycle time performance.

  • Be knowledgeable of company policies andengageappropriate resources(HR, Safety, etc.)whenrequiredto handle issues that arise.

  • Support, communicate, implement, sustain, and consistently enforce all company policies/procedures

  • Build and sustain good morale and attitudes among all reporting associates.

  • Initiate requisitions for open positions. Interview anddeterminebest candidate for position

  • Document associate skills and knowledgeto create a skills matrix of employee training needs and accomplishments

  • Ability to capture/analyze dataregardingproductivity -Understand through observations the causes for high and low productivity.

  • Understand production requirements and direct resources appropriately toprocureshipment items.

  • Communicate decisions with data and documentation.

  • Maintainaccuratetimekeeping in ADPfor all assigned direct reports.

  • Enforce safety rules,practicesand procedures toassuresafety of associates, buildings,groundsand machinery.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What are the basicqualifications?

  • High school diplomaorGED.

  • Minimum3years'experiencein a leadership position (team lead, team captain, supervisor, shift lead, etc.)

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.

What are the preferredqualifications?

  • Two years' experience with 5S, Lean/Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies

  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook,Excel,Wordand PowerPoint)

  • Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to interact and work effectively with employees at levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be willing to workextended and/or weekend hours whenrequired.
