Who You Are

You are a Senior Software Engineer L4 who brings strong full-stack engineering skills and a practical understanding of how data products are built, maintained, and improved. You will join a small, highly collaborative team building RCMi, Inovalon's analytics platform, from the ground up, contributing across Angular, C#, REST APIs, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, and Power BI. In this role, you will help transform complex healthcare data into reliable client-facing reports and visualizations that support better business and client outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features across the front-end, back-end, and API layers of the RCMi analytics platform.

  • Write high-quality, testable code that meets the team's Definition of Done, using a test-first approach where practical.

  • Build, maintain, and optimize client-facing reports and dashboards using healthcare claims, remits, and related data.

  • Support data ingestion and transformation pipelines that move source data from CMP into the RCMi database for reporting and analytics.

  • Develop and tune SQL-based solutions across MSSQL and Snowflake to support feature delivery, data access, and performance improvement.

  • Partner with product management to scope, estimate, and deliver enhancements as business and technical requirements evolve.

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, iteration demos, and retrospectives to improve solution quality and team effectiveness.

  • Handle PHI and PII with appropriate care, following security, privacy, confidentiality, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical issues outside standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and respond within defined SLAs.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or full-stack web development.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology required, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Advanced SQL skills, including MSSQL and Snowflake, with experience in triage, performance tuning, and feature development.

  • Full-stack proficiency in Angular front-end development, C# back-end development, and REST API development.

  • Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, data modeling, and report building and maintenance.

  • Solid AWS experience and familiarity with cloud-native architecture and deployment practices.

  • Experience working with healthcare data and healthcare organizations, including understanding of PHI, PII, and security and privacy compliance requirements.

  • Demonstrated ability to take ideas from stakeholder proposal through completion in a small, high-ownership team environment.

  • Show an open and curious approach to learning, build new technical knowledge quickly, and apply feedback and new information to improve engineering outcomes as the platform evolves.

  • Influence cross-functional partners through clear communication, thoughtful collaboration, and constructive handling of differing opinions to move work forward effectively.

  • Adapt quickly to changing business and technical priorities while staying focused on delivery, quality, and client impact.

  • Generate practical, creative solutions to technical and data challenges by evaluating tradeoffs, improving design approaches, and solving problems with business value in mind.

  • Interpret data, break down complex issues, and use evidence-based reasoning to support technical decisions and guide solution development.

  • Nice to have: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
