Wash Technician

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, blueprints, procedures, and specification sheets.
• Basic math skills required to measure volumes and maintain proper chemical concentrations.
• Forklift certification required or ability to maintain current certification.

Experience Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or production environment preferred.
• Experience operating production equipment, material handling equipment, or wash line systems.
• Previous forklift operation experience required.
• Experience performing equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and inventory tracking is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and production team members.
• Experience working with chemicals, cleaning processes, or industrial wash systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain efficient workflow.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and maneuvering around equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity required.
• Ability to work in an unconditioned warehouse and varying weather conditions while exposed to industrial noise levels.

Job Duties

• Operate wash line equipment, including sprayers, spinner stations, and tote bin washers, to clean and process products safely and efficiently.
• Verify wash line quality standards and ensure all cleaning procedures are followed.
• Mix and monitor chemical solutions to maintain proper concentration levels and process effectiveness.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and operational checks.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain wash line machinery to support production requirements.
• Track chemical inventory levels and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Move, position, and maneuver products, materials, and equipment using forklifts, hoists, manipulators, and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and material movement throughout the production area.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
• Communicate equipment, quality, and production concerns to supervisors and support continuous operational efficiency.
