Position Title: Mold Maintenance Technician
Wage: $26.57-$34.77/hour Based on experience Shift: 12-Hour Night shift Hours: 6:30pm-6:30am We are seeking Mold Maintenance Technicians to support plastic injection molding operations. This position is responsible for disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, maintaining, and reassembling molds to ensure they are production-ready and capable of consistently producing quality parts. This is a direct hire opportunity in Mequon, WI. Mold Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Disassemble plastic injection molds and thoroughly clean mold components - Inspect molds for wear, damage, or other issues requiring repair - Perform insert changes and clean and properly store mold inserts - Perform daily mold/tool maintenance both in and out of injection molding presses - Complete mold setups and changeovers accurately and verify work after completion - Perform basic mold repairs, including ejector pins, locks, and other components - Troubleshoot basic electrical issues on molds - Identify and troubleshoot basic molding and tooling problems - Install replacement components and complete minor mold repairs - Reassemble molds, verify completed work, and prepare molds for production - Tag completed molds as Production Ready and transport them using a motorized pallet jack - Retrieve molds following production runs and return them to designated storage locations - Document preventive maintenance and repair activities - Maintain mold locations and maintenance records within the ERP system and tool logbook - Work closely with Lead Mold Technicians, Mold Maintenance Technicians, and supervisors when more complex repairs are required - Follow OSHA, safety, food safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements Mold Maintenance Technician Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required - 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience preferred - Previous mold maintenance, tooling, or plastic injection molding experience is highly desirable - Ability to disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds - Basic mold repair and troubleshooting skills - Ability to recognize molding and tooling issues - Basic electrical troubleshooting ability as it relates to molds - Experience with hand and power tools - Basic computer skills for entering mold maintenance and location information - Strong organization, concentration, and attention to detail - Ability to learn new tooling procedures and retain technical information - Able to work independently and adjust to changing priorities - Ability to obtain and maintain required equipment/lift licenses - Comfortable climbing in and out of presses and working inside mold areas - Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds IND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
