Provides classroom instruction and computer-assisted lab activities in professional development, quality customer service, business communication, teamwork dynamics, as well as business organization and management and/or human relations in business; all courses focused on the Quality Customer Service Certificate. Regularly engages in student assessment, registration, orientation, and other related duties. Responsible for maintaining accurate student records, required forms and documents, attendance hours, and regular review of student progress data.
Position will be located and instruction occurring at Perryville Prison, 2015 N Citrus Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85395.

70% - Provides student assessment and classroom training in construction electrician courses to incarcerated students; courses include construction safety, basic math, introduction to hand tools, introduction to print reading, basic rigging, electrical code, electrical equipment, installation practices, conduit bending, and related electrical construction topics.
10% - Assists in planning, developing and implementing outcome-based construction electrical courses.
10% - Develops written syllabi/course outlines (with guidance), and performs student evaluation when required.
10% - Assists in evaluation and selection of instructional materials appropriate to courses and environment. Performs other duties as directed to meet Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) contract requirements.

High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in the area of assignment.  Some assignments may require an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or higher depending on the field of instruction.

There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.

A. Bachelor's degree in a business-related area OR Associate's degree in a business-related area and five (5) years of work experience in a business field.

B. Experience teaching and/or training;

C. Experience working with at-risk, underserved and/or incarcerated students

D. Experience with file management and record keeping; Experience preparing reports and tracking/collecting data.

E. One (1) year of full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years.

Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. Will be required to obtain an ADCRR clearance. The process may involve personally invasive questionnaire, and extensive background check. Ability to obtain Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) clearance, which may include but not limited to: fingerprinting, extensive background check, psychological, drug.

Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required; employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving:
