A dependable and detail-oriented Grounds Person who will maintain the hotel's outdoor spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal. In this hands-on role, you'll care for lawns, gardens, walkways, and parking areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and team members. From landscaping and seasonal maintenance to supporting outdoor event setups, you'll play a key role in upholding Loews Hotels' commitment to excellence. What You'll Do:

  • Maintain the hotel's outdoor grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, and parking areas.

  • Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and weeding.

  • Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution.

  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

  • Inspect and repair outdoor fixtures, pathways, and other property assets as needed.

  • Respond to seasonal weather conditions by clearing snow, ice, or debris from walkways.

  • Assist with outdoor setups for special events, including tables, chairs, and equipment.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of exterior entryways and public spaces.

  • Monitor and maintain outdoor lighting systems for safety and functionality.

  • Assist with upkeep of water features or other outdoor structures as required.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures when performing groundskeeping duties.

  • Maintain inventory of landscaping supplies and equipment.

  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction and property standards.

  • Report maintenance or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.

  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Previous groundskeeping or landscaping experience in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment, preferred.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

  • Proven ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and other power tools.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Familiarity with seasonal weather-related challenges and responses (snow/ice clearing).

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining pristine outdoor areas.

  • Knowledge of proper landscaping techniques and seasonal maintenance needs.

  • Ability to identify and address maintenance and safety hazards promptly.

  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, or snow).

  • Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and landscaping equipment safely and effectively.

  • Ability to walk and move for extended periods while performing maintenance and groundskeeping tasks.

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, work on ladders, and lift/pull/push 50 plus pounds regularly throughout the shift.
