Position Summary

The Financial Analyst position has responsibilities during the monthly financial close process, provides financial analysis to management and supports the planning and reporting process for Global Parker Lord divisions. As a business partner, the Financial Analyst collaborates closely with key business managers to provide analysis and recommendations for business decisions. This role also supports the Financial Reporting & Systems Manager to maintain and improve the systems and FP&A process for the Global Parker Lord divisions.

This role will be located in Cary, NC on a 4 days in office 1 day remote hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Systems - Assist Financial Systems Administrator with support and continuous improvement of Parker Lord financial systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle HFM, Blackline) as needed

  • Close - Assist in month-end financial close process through the posting of journal entries, managing accruals, reconciling intercompany transactions and support timely reporting of Global Parker Lord division results

  • Planning - Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for the Parker Lord divisions

  • Analysis - Support the financial analysis of Parker Lord Shared Services cost center activity while serving as an FP&A point of contact for cost center managers

  • Special Projects - Participate in and/or lead special projects as needed

  • Complete quarterly account reconciliations

  • Maintains strong accounting controls

  • Support credit, collections, payables or other general accounting responsibilities as needed

  • Willing to reach out to others across the organization for support as needed to effectively execute job responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or similar field with 1 to 3 years accounting or finance experience

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle HFM, Power BI or similar financial tools preferred

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members and team leaders

  • Ability to recommend and apply continuous improvement techniques to work area

  • Self-motivated, creative thinker with ability to handle many tasks at a time and work effectively with others as a team
