Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic Job Responsibilities Perform high quality work in a timely manner as assigned and according to work orders while adhering to automotive industry standards. Inspecting / diagnosing and testing vehicles while recording findings so vehicle can be repaired correctly the first time Providing labor and parts estimates for additional repairs Explaining mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to customers Learning new technical information and techniques, as well as staying current with rapidly changing technology. Job Requirements Must be a problem solver who is team-oriented, flexible, has great communication skills and is focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Two more years of experience Working knowledge of standard shop equipment and tools ASE or other certifications a plus Personnel are frequently required to walk, sit, climb, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, lift, talk, see, hear, feel, use clear speech and operate machinery.
